Christophe Vandijk of Rummen-based Vandijk Technics specialises in refrigeration technology. For a customer in the food industry, he installed temperature monitoring in four cold stores to simplify temperature logging and to be informed when the cooling system is down. HACCP logs in the blink of an eye
Under the HACCP regulations, temperature logs are mandatory in order to follow HACCP food safety rules. However, these logs result in a lot of extra paperwork for food companies. Automatic temperature monitoring with Reporter significantly reduces this administrative burden.
"My customer used to have to go and write down the temperatures in his cold stores several times a day. Now he simply logs in from his mobile phone or PC and consults all the data online. Be it to view a graph on the Crodeon Dashboard or to export the data. It's much easier."
Alarms when they really matter
Reporter has an alarm function that sends alarm notifications via SMS, voice call or email. For example, you can set the minimum and maximum temperatures of your cold store. In addition, Reporter also measures power outages in a cold room.
"If a power outage occurs on weekends or some other problem causes the cold room to stop working, an alarm is immediately sent out to my customer. This has already happened once. This alarm notification allowed me to be alerted in time and I was able to quickly make the right repairs to fix the problem."
